As Artist and Photographer in Residence I devised and ran a photography project with young people and children in the Cardiac Wing of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Some of the young people and children were in patients and some were taking part whilst in the waiting areas of the wards (Badger Ward and Dinosaur Ward). They were shown a variety of inspirational photography and invited to take self portraits (or selfies) as well as capture images of their surroundings prior to the demolition of the building. The young people and children took photographs from their own point of view and the images are now exhibited on the Cardiac Wing hoardings on three floors of the hospital.
Recently I visited the hospital again to take some photographs of the hoardings, see below. More coming soon…
